H001 | Polinik from the Plöckenhaus

Mighty summit in the north of the Angerbachtal. Popular destination with wonderful views of Cellon, Kellerwand, Gamskofel, and over the Gail valley. Easy ascent, surefootedness required in the last part to the summit.

Suggestion

After the route, a detour up to the state border for a Tris and a glass of wine (in Italy) at Assunta.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear and good hiking equipment are necessary.

Directions

From Plöckenhaus to Spielbodenthörl a wonderful hiking trail on meadow and forest ground. From Thörl on the SE ridge to the summit, a gravelly, rocky path that requires surefootedness. Highly recommended as a family hike.
